Project Background & Purpose
The Indiana Department of Transportation will use state and federal funds to increase access to I-65 at US 52. Currently, the interchange only allows partial access requiring motorists to use SR 47 or SR 32 to access east and west of I-65.
The largest benefit of the project being direct access to areas east and west of I-65 that currently require motorists to use SR 47 or SR 32. The goal of the project is to increase accessibility and connectivity among the surrounding areas for future growth of the region.
Project Status
In Spring 2024 the project will produce the final environmental document. Summer and Fall 2024 the project will complete the land acquisition. In late 2024, the project will accept bids from vendors and start construction in Spring 2025. The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2026.
